Recent work

When I started my porch studio I primarily focused on throwing dishes, cups, and vases. During the winter, it's too cold to move clay on a wheel outside, so I take things inside and handbuilt in my kitchen. 

I decided to step outside of dishes and play with lighting and functional sculpture. Pieces are currently being wired by a professional electrician. He recently asked me, "Why lights?" The reason, I was interested in a new challenge. Thinking about how light hits in a room, the warmth it provides, the shapes it projects is an exciting new area to explore.
